What you can expect from us, and what we need from you.
Last updated date of publication. These terms are an agreement between you and registered company name and number(“TourAfrikA”, “we”).
A discovery platform for African artists, events, culture, destinations and experiences. We publish listings, help people find them, and refer people onward to whoever actually sells the ticket or provides the trip.
We are not the seller. We do not sell tickets, operate events, or provide travel. Every purchase is a contract between you and that partner, under their terms, and their refund and cancellation rules are the ones that apply.
This section matters most, because most of what is on TourAfrikA was put there by someone else.
You keep ownership. Everything you upload or write — artwork, posters, photographs, recordings, descriptions — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You confirm you have the right to publish it. By uploading anything you confirm that you created it, or that you hold a licence or permission that allows it to be published and promoted here. This applies to event posters, artist photography and press images in particular: being sent an image is not the same as holding the right to publish it, and the person who uploads it is the person responsible for it.
You give us a licence to show it. So that we can actually run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display what you publish, and to feature it in discovery, search results and promotion of the platform. That licence lasts as long as the content is published here, and ends when you delete it — except for copies already made in backups or already distributed, which age out normally.
Do not publish anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights; any event you are not authorised to list; or anyone else's personal information without their permission.
If something published here infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, tell us at rights or takedown contact email and include: what the material is and where on this site it appears, what right you hold and proof of it, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
We review every report and remove or restrict material that should not be here. We will tell whoever published it, and they may respond. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.
Some listings are promoted — an advertiser paid for placement. Those are labelled “Promoted” wherever they appear, and they are never mixed into results without that label.
Some ticket and travel links are referrals, and we may earn a commission when you follow one and buy something. Where an offer comes from a partner, the partner is named on it. A commission never changes what we show you first: ranking is by relevance and recency, not by what pays more.
Listings are supplied by artists, organizers and partners. We make a reasonable effort to keep the platform accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that every date, price or detail is correct, that an event will happen, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Check important details with the organizer before you travel or spend money.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a partner failing to deliver what you bought, for an event being changed or cancelled, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Have counsel review this clause for your jurisdiction.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, infringes someone's rights, or is being used to harm other people. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
These terms are governed by the laws of governing jurisdiction, e.g. Ghana, and disputes are subject to the courts of venue.
We will post material changes on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use TourAfrikA after that means you accept the updated terms.
